Other Fuels

Supporting power plants to diversify their energy production options

The use of renewable fuels to substitute fossil fuels in energy-intensive industrial sectors is a continued focus due to the European Green Deal.

Whilst transboundary shipments of SRF and RDF make up the highest proportion of alternative fuels across Europe, there is a growing opportunity for non-recyclable waste materials, or agricultural waste products with calorific value to be used as a fuel. This provides a sustainable solution for other waste materials that may have otherwise been sent to landfill.

Totus is in the unique position of being able to support both waste producers and offtakers to meet their individual requirements. Our experts provide a complete service; from understanding the waste production process and performing a waste composition and chemical analysis, to arranging the most sustainable processing route from our network of partner treatment facilities. We work alongside customers and offtakers to develop new solutions through advanced production processes and innovative services.

  • Waste wood
  • Impregnated sawdust
  • Chemical residues
  • Tyre derived fuel
  • Agricultural waste
  • Sewage sludge
  • Meat and bone meal
